Pregnant after miscarriage?

Hi everyone,
I had a miscarriage on June 7th and lost the baby on June 11th.
So it's been over 5 weeks since the miscarriage happened.
Well, I've had very sore breasts for 4 days now and was feeling nauseous, so I bought a test and yes, it's positive!
But now I'm just afraid that it's still hCG from my previous pregnancy..
So does anyone know how long hCG stays in your body after a miscarriage?
I was over 5 weeks pregnant.

Between 4 and 6 weeks... so that doesn't help you yet. I'd suggest getting a blood test from your GP or waiting another week and testing again. Seems pretty stressful, that uncertainty. -

It could be that I'm pregnant again already
I had a miscarriage in early May at around 6 weeks pregnant. I took a pregnancy test a week later and it was already negative again! At 5 weeks, there's not much hcg yet. Good luck! -

Exactly what wensje says, I think it varies a lot. I was almost 6 weeks pregnant and then had a miscarriage, lost blood for ten days and on day ten no positive test anymore. I also wanted to be sure that the hormone was from my blood.. Good luck!
