Hi everyone,

I'm new to this forum, so I'll briefly share my history first. One of my sisters has PCOS (in a severe form), and it turned out there was a reason why the other (4) sisters could also have it. We all got tested; 3 sisters had nothing, and I had a mild form. One of my ovaries was clear and the other was minimal.

After hearing this (1.5 years ago), I stopped the pill immediately, so I've been off the pill completely. From the start, I've had a regular 28-day cycle. Since last January, my husband and I have been trying to conceive, but so far it hasn't worked. When I put things in perspective, I know this is very normal, but I'm naturally worried given my sister's medical history (she was pregnant after 2.5 years, at six months).

Every month I also feel a slight twinge around ovulation, usually for about 24 hours. Now, four days after this ovulation, I've been having this nagging feeling on the left side (I always ovulate on the left side, probably because that's the 'clear' ovary). We've had sex about 3 or 4 times during the fertile days. Could there be something wrong with the 'healthy' ovary?

Other than that, I don't have any weird symptoms, and I have a very regular cycle.

Hopefully, you can reassure me.
