When can you see the gestational sac??

Hi ladies!
I had to go for a check-up last Tuesday to see if my follicles had grown after the Clomid, so I could get Pregnyl. But they were already gone, as I expected, and I told the gynecologist that I thought my ovulation had happened earlier. I had 9 and 10 June of fluid mucus that was pinkish after wiping when I went to the toilet.. The gyn could see that ovulation had occurred and saw a flat gestational sac? She said I hope for good news within 2 weeks? What does this mean? Is there maybe a chance it will work out after 2 years :-( or is there always a gestational sac during or after ovulation?

Does anyone know if there's always a gestational sac visible?

It doesn't mean anything at all, unfortunately. You really should just wait and see.

Not very helpful of you to call it that.

Do you mean from the OB/GYN? That wasn't helpful to say that already? Because it could go in all directions then?

It's still too early to tell if it's developing well. They only dare to say it looks good when there's a beating heart. But a gestational sac would mean that fertilization has taken place. But so early on, a lot can still go wrong.

Yes, I had a miscarriage on March 24th at 5 weeks, so I obviously don't want to get too hopeful... As you say, it could be a good or bad fertilization! Tomorrow I have to get my blood drawn, so that'll be 2 weeks after the ultrasound...

I hope you have good news in a few weeks. Good luck on the waiting bench.
