Twelve weeks pregnant, bleeding

Hi ladies,
Today I got quite a fright due to quite a bit of bleeding.
I already have a healthy 2-year-old daughter, and that time, except for one small spotting episode, I had a normal pregnancy.
However, my previous pregnancy ended in a miscarriage after 9 weeks following weeks of bleeding, so now I’m really on edge.
I was able to go to the hospital today. On the ultrasound, everything looked very good with the little one, but I still don’t feel reassured.
The ultrasound couldn’t find a cause for the bleeding. According to the gynecologist, it wasn’t coming from the cervix but from the uterus, and she mentioned that many women experience unexplained bleeding.
Has anyone here experienced this?
