Feeling unsure about staying at home

Hi everyone, I wanted to share something and I'm curious if this sounds familiar to any of you?

I was working full-time but unfortunately got sick early in my pregnancy. I was asked if I could work less due to severe nausea and exhaustion. The occupational health doctor thought it was a good idea too. But apparently, she didn't agree because she thought I should just stay home since it wasn't practical... They weren't happy about me being pregnant either... And yeah, my contract wasn't renewed. I'm still 100% sick because they wouldn't let me work back then.

I'm still very tired. Now 18 weeks pregnant. I can do some chores but spread them out over the day. I'm realizing I miss my freedom... I had a leased car, and now I don't anymore. And my boyfriend doesn't want me riding my moped anymore.

So I'm often alone at home and feel pretty useless... I used to always have daytime activities, and now it's hard to find my rhythm during the week.

Does anyone else relate to this or have tips?? Greetings, me.

Hi, I'm not pregnant but I totally relate to this.
Because I can no longer do the work I used to due to physical complaints, I'm also staying at home now.

My boyfriend commutes to work by car every day, so the only means of transport I have is the bike or public transport.
I fill my days mainly by looking for suitable work, doing small tasks around the house, cooking and baking a lot, and doing volunteer work.

Volunteering is really a motivation for me to get out of bed in the morning and it brings structure to my day. Volunteer work can be adjusted to what you CAN do. For example, having a cup of tea with lonely seniors in a nursing home or walking small dogs at the animal shelter. This way you also build some social connections.
