Getting pregnant after vasectomy

Hi!
I'm in exactly the same boat! My husband had the procedure on May 25th. I still have to wait 7 days for my period. I'm also feeling all sorts of things I don't usually feel. Heartburn last night. Flu-like feelings with waves, and sometimes a dull ache in my lower abdomen. Had real pain in my stomach for 1 day. From experience, I know that waiting is the only thing you can do, but I'm really hoping it works, I'm so excited. I've also been sleeping terribly for the past few days.
I've heard from several people who got pregnant right away the first time, so it's definitely possible!
I can't say anything about the ovulation test because I have no experience with it.

Love,

    Hey Jelly33,
It's so nice to get a reply and it's nice that someone else has the same experience... I should have been on my period on June 22nd (hopefully not, of course).
Regarding the info after a vasectomy and getting pregnant, I don't find much info online... do you find more info anywhere about this?
I really hope we can get pregnant after the first round after the vasectomy... that would be good advertising for those guys
May I ask what the reason was that you had a vasectomy?! We have a blended family with 7 kids and no kids together... I had experiences during my 3 pregnancies/births regarding my ex... and as a couple we really want to have a child together... that's why we chose the vasectomy.
Exciting on the waiting bench, right!
Are you going to test earlier or do you wait for your period?
    Would love to hear it
    Love, Eva...

    Hi!
    I think that's nice too!
I'm supposed to get my period on the 22nd too, how coincidental ! And I'm also hoping that won't be the case.
We thought our family was complete and during our last pregnancy had my husband get sterilized, but a few years later we've had second thoughts, so he had the procedure reversed.
You indeed don't find a lot of info about this procedure regarding pregnancy etc., but I have read a few comments where people were already pregnant before the first check-up. Those are nice stories, I think, but of course we'll have to wait and see.
I have no idea if I'll test earlier; I think I'll just test on the 22nd. Since my cycle is sometimes a few days longer, I'd rather play it safe. Although this time I did notice ovulation and I think I have a normal cycle now.
It's exciting waiting like this. I also felt that dull ache in my lower belly again today, even after standing for a long time. I know it's just waiting, but I just notice it .

    Love,

    Hey Jelly...
Pfff yeah... here today too, spotting again... besides that, since yesterday I've been feeling dizzy/seeing stars when standing up and bending down, and today it's even worse... and now... a throbbing headache... I think it's all fine as long as it's a healthy pregnancy
Well, I hope we can catch up quickly and both test positive...
Tomorrow I'll pop by the GP... I've been needing to pee small amounts often (no pain) to rule out a bladder infection, and then I'll make good use of my visit and see if he can test me. I have an underactive thyroid, so in case of pregnancy I'll need to increase my medication right away
How are you feeling otherwise? Tired, nauseous, headache?
Goodness, that you can wait until your DUE DATE... pfff I'm going crazy just thinking about it

Haha, I sometimes get that dizzy feeling too and I have hot flashes.
Good that you're going to see the midwife for a bit, I also need to go to the doctor ASAP if the test is positive to adjust my medication.
Fortunately, it's not until the 6th week, when the heartbeat starts, that it becomes really important, so I can still wait until next week.
I'm doing pretty well otherwise, except I sleep terribly
