Secret pregnancy

Hi everyone.
I'm new here. Just introducing myself, my name is Joëlla, I'm a deaf mother of 2 hearing children and married to a hearing man, together for over 12 years and married for almost 6 years.

So I'd like to share a bit about myself and the world here.
Since 2014, I had a falling out with my best friend and was very depressed until now in 2017. Things have gotten much better between my best friend and me now, but unfortunately, it's not really resolved; we just act normal around each other, like acquaintances. But on April 15, 2017, I had a big celebration for me and my husband because we turned 30, but apparently only 6 people came to our party, and we were extremely disappointed! We lost 600 euros on the hall rental.

But in the meantime, up until now, I've also been sad about the world, feeling that people aren't around me. Now I'm very jealous of my best friend because she has a perfect life with her partner, child, and is having her second child in October 2017, and she has many friends, both male and female, and they are very happy. It makes me feel very unfair.

But I have planned with my husband to welcome our third child, but when I'm pregnant with the third, I want to keep it secret until 20 weeks pregnant because I've been too depressed and the world never comes to me. So I'm heading towards having children.

So my question is if you've also experienced a broken friendship, or if the world doesn't come to you, or something like that, if so, how do you manage to be happy without the world around you?

Love,

Joëlla

Tough sentences to read and therefore hard to understand your story well. I wouldn't go for a third child if you feel so bad and take so much to heart what others think. You should give your next child a stable foundation, and for that, you need to be stable yourself. Every house has its cross, and your friend surely has things she's less happy with too. Jealousy is human but useless. If you're not satisfied with your own life, then do something about it. I hope you won't have depressive thoughts anymore in the future and can genuinely say that you're happy.

Dear sweetheart, not everything that shines is gold, so there's no reason to be jealous. Look at your beautiful, loving, healthy kids and probably also your lovely husband who loves you a lot, so you already have a best friend, your partner, and your kids. Make something beautiful out of it, and the sun will shine on its own. x
