When to take progesterone shots and when to do the test

Hi ladies,
I hope one of you can help me.
On April 29th I had my last internal ultrasound before ovulation. At that time, my largest follicle was 17mm.
I had to get my blood drawn on May 8th to check my progesterone levels and see if I had a good ovulation. Fortunately, it was good
I read that you usually have to wait a week after your expected ovulation to test your progesterone...
But when would I now be due for my period?
I'm actually afraid to test in case I get disappointed or test too early.
