Hi,
I don't really get it myself, but maybe someone here knows more.
On April 10th, I had my IUD removed after 4 months. On April 11th, I had bleeding until April 14th; it wasn't old blood but really red and a bit slimy. On April 21st and 22nd, I had bleeding again, but it was very light and basically only when wiping. On May 8th and 9th, I got some cramps that made me think I'd get my period today or tomorrow, but nothing came. Yesterday and the day before (May 13th and 14th), my breasts were very tense and very sore. I've also been feeling very nauseous lately. My lower abdomen is very sensitive, and I get little stabs in my groin and hips every time. I've already used quite a few tests. On May 10th, it was slightly positive, but the next morning it was negative, so that was probably a mistake. The last ones on May 13th were all negative. I don't get it anymore.
Before the Mirena, I had an Implanon, and after it wore off, six months later I got the Mirena, so I don't know how my cycle is.
When should I test best, and when can I expect my period? Anyone have experience with this?

I think you just need to be patient.
It took me a while too before my cycle became regular again after having my Mirena IUD removed.

@Jackie Unfortunately, those irregularities are pretty normal after an IUD. My first cycle was a complete mess, I really thought I was pregnant because of the weekly bleeding. But give your body some time to get back on its feet. I wish you a speedy recovery and hope the cramps go away soon.
