Moving or not?

Well, my parents and grandparents know and are absolutely thrilled.
Even though I'm only 6 weeks pregnant, the family crib (our baby will be the 25th one to sleep in it) has already been brought down from the attic

But now I'm facing a new dilemma again.

Move or not?

The plan was for me to move in with my boyfriend.
I have a small apartment in the center of Hilversum, but that should be manageable, at least for the first year of the little one.

However, I'm wondering if it's really a good idea to do that due to health reasons, because no matter what I do, the house stays dusty and the neighbor's cigarette smoke seeps into the bedrooms.
(You can talk to the neighbor very well, and he understands the situation perfectly, but I've probably asked him about 60 times over the past months to open a window when he smokes. He just forgets it)
Dilemmas, dilemmas...

I've already listed the pros and cons of moving for myself (we ultimately want to move to Almere).

Pros:
* It will be a fresh start for both of us
* Double income, so we can rent a bigger house with more bedrooms
* No more dealing with the neighbors' smoke (hopefully)
* A nice little garden where the baby can play (since that's what we'll be looking for, of course)
* Own parking spot, so no parking permit needed
* Same commute distance for my boyfriend

Cons
* If the relationship falls apart, I lose my nice apartment and he loses his too
* We don't know the neighbors
* Very far from my own workplace, so I'll need to find new work after my leave
(I don't think this will be a drama. I work as a freelance nanny)
* Even further from our parents
* Moving costs money because rooms will probably need to be painted and floors laid.

I'm so torn about what to do.
We even asked our parents, and the mothers say move, while the fathers say don't move.

I can't figure it out anymore.
Are there any people here with tips?
Or in a similar situation?

Greetings!

My suggestion is to move. It's really bad for a baby to be around cigar smoke, and you'd have to move eventually anyway, right? Starting fresh together sounds nice. Just do it. As for your job, you could consider commuting the long distance (or choosing to live closer to work) or getting a new job. Moving does cost money, but you can split the cost with your partner, which helps. Besides, you'd have to move eventually anyway, so you're going to spend that money once regardless. I wish you all the best with your pregnancy and I'm curious to see what happens.
