pregnant or not?

Hi everyone,

I'm having second thoughts. My boyfriend and I really want kids, and I stopped the pill 3 months ago. Since then, I've had regular 28-day cycles. Now, 4 days before my period was due, I started spotting—it wasn't as much as my normal period, and I didn't have the usual menstrual symptoms like cramps or back pain that I always get. It came as a total surprise; it was bright red at first, then turned slightly brownish. This lasted for 5 days and started 8 days after my ovulation. Normally, I should be getting my period today, but the bleeding has now stopped. Did I just get my period 5 days early, or could I be pregnant? And if so, when should I test?

Hopefully, someone with a similar experience can give me some clarity.

Best,

Hi, it could be an implantation bleed. You can test from the day you were supposed to get your period. So in 5 days (4 days left)!
    Good luck!

Thank you for your reply! I'm really curious, but I don't want to test too early either...
    Exciting!

Hi hi, same story here. I had a faint line (visible without squinting) on the €5 Kruidvat test yesterday and today. The weird thing is, I thought I got my period on Thursday the 15th. I had pretty sharp pains on the right side that afternoon that really hurt, but they went away later. In the evening, I started bleeding (4 days early), and it lasted until Sunday the 18th. But I just felt something was different: sore breasts, waves of nausea, and very tired. So I thought, I’ll take a test, which I did last night and got a second line, and this morning it’s a bit clearer, though still very faint. So that’s my story, what could it be? Hope you can help me, I’m going crazy with the uncertainty
