Hi,
I just need to share my story (with people who hopefully understand)...
In December 2015 I took my last pill, so from January I could finally get pregnant...
This was a moment that my husband and I had been looking forward to for quite some time. I had always put off this desire (for my job... visibility on a permanent appointment in education... well... it offers more security... I sometimes regret waiting for that now...).
At first, I had some trouble getting my period... The gynecologist said this could be normal, but as long as there wasn't too much time between cycles, I shouldn't worry... If I wasn't pregnant within a year, we'd look further...
Now, I hadn't had my period since late August... So I went to the gynecologist in October... She looked at my cycle calendar that I kept... From this, it became clear that I probably only had 3 or 4 ovulations...
She gave me pills to induce my period and also gave me Clomid for the first time (1 pill)...
My body responded very well to this, because I immediately had a very nice egg that was ready to pop on day 12! That evening I was allowed to inject Pregnyl... Unfortunately, it didn't work the first time...
The second time, back to 1 pill of Clomid and on day 12 again a nice egg, immediately Pregnyl...
On January 10th I did a test and I was pregnant!!! HOORAY!!! 1 year after starting! I was so happy!
3 weeks later, it was over, after a regular blood test it turned out that my pregnancy hormone levels hadn't risen enough... Straight to the gynecologist... The baby had stopped growing... I had to take pills to induce the miscarriage...
Now I've had my 2nd Clomid course (after my miscarriage)... Today my period started... So it didn't work out...
I find it hard to find someone in my circle to talk about this with... Because everyone gives the same answer; 'You shouldn't be so focused on it!'
Yes, very easy to say, especially when both sisters-in-law are pregnant and when one is pregnant by accident which actually comes at a bit of an inconvenient time (while it won't work for you!!!!) and my other sister-in-law is due 2 weeks earlier than I would have been if I hadn't had a miscarriage... It's painful to see her belly grow and realize that mine could have been like that too...
