Hi ladies... what a lovely website! My partner and I really want a baby, so I've been off the pill for a week now. I was wondering if there are other women on this forum who have also just stopped taking the pill? I've read a lot online about 'coming off the pill' and I'm curious how others experience it. I'm mainly dreading the possibility of getting really bumpy skin again . But I'm happy the pill is finally out, as I'd been having side effects from it lately, mainly a lot of headaches. Looking forward to hearing your experiences

    I’ve noticed that since stopping the pill (in January), I’ve had very irregular cycles now, which I never had while on it—always exactly 28 days. I’m on day 41 now, and it doesn’t feel like my period is anywhere near.
    Also, I’m having a bit more back pain and feeling a bit slower during the first two days.

    Ahh oké, that's also unpleasant. I'm curious how it'll go for me. I've read a lot of horror stories about it online, but it seems to vary quite a bit from person to person with the symptoms.

    Hi there,

    It took me a full year to get my cycle back, and then I had cycles of 34-37 days for a few months. Apparently, my body had forgotten how to do it, which makes sense... I was 13 when I started on Diane and 26 when I stopped the pill... unfortunately, my skin did get a bit worse because of it, especially during my period..

    But now, finally, after a year + 3/4 months, I'm pregnant (now 6/6.5 weeks), so hopefully everything will go well... my skin has been good again since the pregnancy

    I'm 21 and one of the lucky ones where it was a bingo right away.
    Last pill on March 31, period on April 4, and now already 3 days late. Tested positive on Saturday and Monday.

    Ahh, lovely Saartje & SS21... exciting! I had light bleeding for about 4-5 days after taking the last pill, and then nothing more... that was 3 weeks ago. I'm curious how my cycle will go... I've been so subconsciously focused on it and can't wait to have a positive test like you guys!! ????

    Yeah, we really didn't expect to get pregnant right away! Everyone around us had been trying for 6 to 12 months. But we're ready for it, even though we're super nervous now and can't wait to share the news and have the first ultrasound.
