Hi everyone,

It’s so nice that this exists. I’d really like to ask if anyone has experienced the same thing as me, or is in a similar situation..

I’m 22 years old and was on the mini-pill for 5 years. When I stopped taking it, I just didn’t get my period. I went to the GP, and she told me to just wait. After waiting for a year, I finally got a little bit of bleeding. I knew it could be a bit messy at first, so I didn’t stress myself out! At some point, after 8 months, I started getting irregular periods—sometimes 2 weeks apart, then 35 days, then 4 days without, then 20 days again. I was embarrassed to go to the doctor, yes it’s a bit silly, I thought it would sort itself out. Eventually, I went and got a Primolut course. For 10 days, 3 tablets a day. The doctor said it would reset my cycle, but nope, no result! I went back to the doctor, had blood tests, and there was nothing wrong. They referred me to a gynecologist, who did an ultrasound. Nothing was wrong, except I had too much mucus. She did the ultrasound while I was bleeding and prescribed Provera to stop the bleeding so I could come back later. That way, she could do a clearer ultrasound! I started the pills on March 21st and finished on March 31st. On April 6th, I had a little bit of bleeding, but only that day. On Friday, April 7th, I went to the gynecologist again for another ultrasound, and everything looked good. I had a thinner layer of mucus now. She said I would still bleed. But up until today, I haven’t bled yet. Before I started the course, I did a test and it was negative. Now I’m reading online that you shouldn’t get pregnant during the course and such, and I haven’t taken another test.. but is there a chance I’m pregnant, or is it all in my head because I really want it? I’ll definitely take a test if I haven’t gotten my period by Friday. But I’d love to hear your experiences.

Talk to you soon,

Lots of love, Esther
