weird feeling in my belly

Hi! I'm not great with words, but I'll give it a shot, haha. After thinking it over carefully, my partner and I decided to try for a baby. So, I had my IUD removed on April 10th. I also had pregnancy symptoms, and it was really getting in the way. The doctor didn't really address it, didn't do a test or anything, just said it couldn't be. I did a test myself, but it was negative. A day later, I got my period (I think). But now I have this weird feeling in my stomach. I feel very full and nervous in my belly, and I'm also dealing with a lot of gas, haha. It's been a long time since I last used the pill or anything like that, so I'm not sure what to make of this. Does anyone recognize this?

Hi Jackie, I totally relate to what you're saying about the spotting and stuff. I thought I had a very short period last cycle, so it's quite possible you're thinking the same thing now, but it might be something else?

    Hey Tazzy,
honestly, I wouldn't know what it is. It's also the first time in 14 years that I'm getting my period without the pill, so everything is still a bit new to me.

The nervous feeling is still there, but luckily not the full feeling.

Hi hi, you probably had a Mirena IUD? The bleeding after removing the IUD is normal and part of the process. It can be quite heavy, but it should be over after a week. You might also experience pregnancy-like symptoms; it's basically your body adjusting to being without the IUD. I had sore breasts and nausea. After 32 days, my period returned to normal, and now I'm on the waiting list.
