What could it be?

Hi everyone,

I stopped the pill back in early November. But recently we’ve really been trying to conceive.

My ovulation was expected around March 23, 2017. Last week I felt a lot of twinges. And last Friday I had a little accident—my car was rear-ended. It was quite a big impact, and my stomach was really hurting that day. So I went home in the afternoon to rest, just in case...

So on Saturday I had white discharge with a bit of brown here and there. And on Sunday it was the same, but later on I also had light pink mixed in. I immediately thought of implantation. But that evening I started bleeding. It looked like a period and I had quite a bit of pain. I hadn’t had that kind of stomach pain in years. It was actually a bit too early for my period.

Sorry for my long post. But I don’t know what to think now—period or miscarriage?

Have you taken a test yet?
Maybe test tomorrow morning and if it's positive, give your midwife a call and explain your situation.
Unfortunately, no one here can really say what happened.

Only thing is, I'm still having bleeding on the 2nd day. Is it wise to wait until it stops, or can I just go ahead like this, do you think?
    Thanks for your reply!

You can totally do a test if you want.
I’ve had bleeding during all my pregnancies so far. I’m just really sensitive to it.
But I’ve always gotten extra ultrasounds for it.

Thanks so much for your reply. It gives me a bit of peace of mind. I'll test tomorrow morning, so I won't have to worry anymore once I have the result.

A positive test can also happen right after a miscarriage, you know. So in that regard, it's still a bit suspenseful. If the test is negative, then there's nothing to worry about. If it's positive, I'd call a midwife right away and explain your situation. Then you can definitely come in for an ultrasound to see what's going on.
Let me know if you want to share more later?

Negative unfortunately.. my period only lasted 2 days. Very strange, I've never had that before.

Oh well, on to a new round.

Sorry! But now you know what to expect. Hopefully it works out next round!
