Late ovulation?

Hi everyone

Hope you can help me with this. I stopped the pill in October and had 3 cycles of 28-29 days. From January to February, it suddenly went off track: 42 days. I had a lot of work stress that week when I was supposed to ovulate, and thought I might have had a late ovulation as a result. Now I'm on day 31 again and had a positive ovulation test on days 13 and 14. Almost a week later, I got positive again for 2 days. Could it be that the tests show positive multiple times because the egg hasn't ruptured yet? If I did ovulate around day 14, shouldn't I be menstruating by now? I took a pregnancy test on day 27 and it was negative. Hope it's not going to be another long cycle this time

I think an ovulation test also gives a positive result during pregnancy. Could it be that you're actually pregnant?

    Hi Linn,
    Exactly the same here!

For 5 months now, I've had a cycle of 31 days, and the last 2 have been 41 days. My ovulation tests are also going up and down every time! I don't understand it at all

I did indeed read that too, Mimi, but on day 27 (1 day before the expected due date) the pregnancy test was still negative, and there are also days when the ovulation tests are lighter in color.
I'm actually not daring to test right now to avoid disappointment, I already used 3 last month , and because it's said you should base it on your longest cycle, which is 42 days.
But could it be that your body is making a second attempt to release the egg if it didn't work the first time?
Maantje, that lack of clarity is annoying, right? And I was so proud of my body with those 28-29 day cycles.

I think you can always have an outlier once! But I also think your cycle can change.. unfortunately it's quite long now
