I also see something faint, like a little blob. If that was within the time frame, I'd say it's a light positive test. But tests can sometimes give a big disappointment if you test too early, unfortunately!
I'm really looking forward to your test today and hope for good news!!! I'll be cheering for you.
Vanessa, it's weird what they always say: you should base things on your positive test because hcg can fluctuate quite a bit in the beginning. I think your positive test is quite strong, actually!!!
I also tested strongly positive on March 15th, and all subsequent tests were so faint they would have been seen as negative. I still called the midwife anyway, and she said we always go by the positive tests, so we'll definitely take a look! Last Wednesday, I had an (urgent) ultrasound after some brown discharge, and there really are 2 in there, though they're less developed, so no heartbeat yet. But I am definitely pregnant, even though the Clearblue digital didn't show pregnant
I don't want to give you false hope, but I just wanted to share this with you. If I were you, I'd definitely call them anyway!
Thank you, Eva. Actually, I'm not quite daring to hope yet, because last time it didn't work out either.
That's why I really need your help. It's nice to let your heart out here.
Aaahh thank you so much, I hope everything keeps going well. I'm not quite ready to hope yet.
Eva, congratulations! Wow, that's amazing! Enjoy your pregnancy.
I went to the GP, but they’re not there, and they won’t do a test because I’d have to pay for it myself. Then I might as well test at home. The blood test needs to be arranged and can only be done on Wednesday/Thursday. Waiting even longer! Super annoying!
Can’t I just call a midwife? The ultrasound doesn’t really tell us much right now. Wednesday would be five weeks.
Yeah, it's clearer now, just like it was for me. If you're still a bit unsure, I'd just test again tomorrow or the day after. It'll be even clearer then.
Vanessa, I’d just call the midwife. You haven’t gotten your period or anything like that, right? For all you know, you only took one test, the positive one, so you should call anyway.
Thanks for the congratulations I find it really exciting too, after a few miscarriages and being at it for 3 years, but we stay positive!!
I completely understand the caution, Bosje!
Vanessa, yes, you'd think so, which is why I apparently tested positive very early, but with twins, hCG can be so high that the test doesn't show properly anymore. The body and hormones are a thing of their own, because I know from my previous pregnancies that I produce hCG very slowly!
I'd just call, then you can explain your situation there, which helped me at least!
It's so nice that the midwife is willing to help you, Vanessa. GPs with their protocols... *lets out a deep sigh*
And I completely understand your uncertainty if things have gone wrong before. But usually everything goes well, try to hold on to that and enjoy that you're currently expecting. + I hold on to your stories then, that it's still possible after 3 years gives me peace of mind
Just sitting here waiting at the clinic.
Jenny, I’m keeping my chances of pregnancy at 1 percent, okay? Don’t believe otherwise. Especially since I’ve been through the medical system in the past and nothing came of it.
The nurse threw away my tests
