Hi there. I'm currently in my second trimester with my first pregnancy, so I still have some time to think about baby names. We've come up with the name 'Liët' for a girl, but since it's not something you hear very often, we're curious to hear your thoughts on it. So, what do you all think of the name Liët?

    I think it sounds nice, but it looks a bit weird written down. But I wouldn't know another way to spell it either.

    So funny that you say that, and especially relatable. When we came up with this name and said it out loud, I was immediately enthusiastic, but when I later went to write it down, I didn't think it looked so nice. I did try Lièt, but that doesn't match the pronunciation. My boyfriend doesn't really get why I don't think the written version looks nice.. but you have this too.

    Funny indeed. What I sometimes do when I want to 'test' a name is to fill it in on different baby announcement card sites, and see if I can get used to it. And if not, Linet, Ninet or Julet might be alternatives that look a bit like it.

    I'd find Liëtte a more obvious spelling.
    I have to get used to it.
