Hi there,

Here's a slightly sleep-deprived mom.
Our little girl is 10 days old today. I was so proud because she was so easygoing.
Today she wants to breastfeed every 1 or 2 hours and just won't sleep. Every time I put her down, she starts crying again after a few minutes.
When I hold her, it's all fine again. But she hasn't slept yet.

I'm getting tired myself.
Is this the well-known growth spurt day?
Does anyone have tips? Is it just for 1 day or several days in a row??

Thanks in advance!

I also slept next to my little boy during those first few days. I had an extra mattress, which I put on the floor next to his, and then he slept right through. Swaddling also helped a lot. Wishing you lots of success, dear, and congratulations! Luckily, you don’t have those first few days too often. And if you sleep next to your little one, you can catch your rest easily.

So relatable. Unfortunately, there's not much you can do yourself. Just try to sleep nicely when the little one does, and push through for a bit. Enjoy it again once it's over.

I know I was completely exhausted and overwhelmed the first time around. Unfortunately, I don't remember exactly how I managed it, but that pretty much applies to the whole first 2.5 months, haha.
