Combination test.. yes or no? I'm hesitating

We're also debating the test combination, so I'm following along. I've read quite a bit about the NIPT test, which will be partially covered starting April 1st. It gives even better results and carries no risk.

Given my age, I’d probably qualify, but I don’t think I’d do it. We wouldn’t terminate a pregnancy anyway; it doesn’t fit with our beliefs. A reason we might consider it would be (for us) if you could better prepare for having a child with a disability or Down syndrome. But I’ve also heard stories, even from close to home, where a baby was said to have various issues and advised to terminate the pregnancy, but they didn’t do it and ended up with a perfectly healthy baby...

    Hi!
We decided not to do it because we believe every life is welcome! It's our baby, and we wouldn't have ended the pregnancy even if there had been a disorder. So, such a test didn't add any value for us. We just had the ultrasounds, and we felt that was enough.
Everyone has to make their own choice here, of course! Think it over carefully, and you really have to decide for yourself!
By the way, those numbers about how many people have seen it are completely off!

I still feel like it's a big taboo sometimes, as if you're being selfish and doing something wrong.
We do choose further testing. We go straight for the NIPT, which has been accessible to everyone without medical indication since April 1, 2017, and is much more comprehensive than the combined test. We want to be able to think carefully about any possible option.
