cycle after miscarriage

Hi everyone,
I had a miscarriage on 26/12/2016 after 7 weeks. After 6 weeks, I got my period for the first time.
Normally, I should have gotten my period on Sunday, but that hasn't happened yet. I'm definitely not pregnant again. Does anyone else have experience with this? Having a regular cycle makes it a bit easier to get pregnant again.
When should you consult a doctor for this?
Thanks in advance.

Hi, that's so sad you had to go through that are you doing a bit better now? Have you been able to process it? Why do you think you can't get pregnant again? Have you taken a new test yet? You did get your period again after your miscarriage, so everything is possible again. There are even women who don't even get their period after a miscarriage because they get pregnant right away, so it's really possible How long have you been trying to get pregnant? First baby?

Yeah, it's going okay. The miscarriage is already processed, but the uncertainty about the future is harder. Not knowing when you'll be pregnant again (though I got pregnant right away last time), or whether things will go well then, etc.
I've already taken a test and it was negative. I don't really feel pregnant either. I fear that I just need to be patient, but somewhere in the back of your mind, you start worrying that maybe something is wrong. I stopped the pill in November but have already lost time due to the miscarriage, waiting for a new period... It's indeed our first child. Hopefully, there will be positive news soon!
Thanks in advance for your response.

    Hey Ginette,
I also had a miscarriage in December (9 weeks) and it took 6 weeks before I got my period again. I really relate to the uncertainty you're writing about. I got pregnant quite quickly after stopping my pill (round 2). Now I'm afraid it might take a long time to get pregnant again or that I might have another miscarriage...

Tomorrow is normally my period, but apart from the headache (which could also be due to my fatigue), there are no other symptoms yet that it's going to start.

It's quite possible that your cycle is a bit off after your miscarriage (just like it often is after stopping the pill). By the way, are you sure about your period? I read that you stopped the pill in November and got pregnant right away. So it's also possible that your natural cycle is longer than you think. If I were you, I'd wait another week (difficult, I know) and if you don't get your period by Monday or don't have a positive test, give your GP a call. They'll probably advise you to wait a bit longer or do a blood test to make sure you're not pregnant again.
    I'm already rooting for you!!
