Stress from testing.

Oh, I've been so stressed since this morning. The day before yesterday, I got a faint line with the Test-it test. Yesterday, with the Test-it (4 days before my period), I got a pretty clear line. It was definitely no longer just a faint line. I was so happy because, wow, 4 days before my period and already such a good line. Of course, it wasn't as dark as the control line, but you could clearly see a difference between the two tests.

Today, I was so cheeky and silly to test with another test (which I didn't have anymore), namely the one from Kruidvat, 2 for 5 euros. The line was less clear on that one compared to the Test-it. Let's call it a faint line. (3 days before my period)

I know it's not smart to test before my period, unfortunately, my curiosity got the better of me. Are the Kruidvat tests less sensitive?

That's possible; there can be differences between brands in the amount of hcg hormone that needs to be present in the urine for a positive test. Before you waste another test, wait until your period and then test again. If your test is already positive now, then you have a clear positive.

    This one is positive, though.

Your test is positive, I see two lines.

The test you see is from yesterday. Today I did a Kruidvat test (2 for 5 euros) and it was lighter. I wonder if that's because you need more HCG in your body with that test.

I tested really early during my second pregnancy, but I did it because I already felt very clearly that I was pregnant. I didn't really need a test, but the rest came back negative. So weird, since I was clearly pregnant. I tested again with a different pharmacy brand, and sure enough, two thick red lines
I already knew, but I still wanted to do a test for confirmation so I could make an appointment with the midwife.
So maybe there really is a difference in sensitivity between tests.

Oh my, that sounds really tough. You feel pregnant and then get a negative test. Luckily your intuition was right! Tested again today with Kruidvat (2 for 5 euros) and the line is clearer than yesterday, despite my expectations.
Today or tomorrow is my expected period. I don't know if my ovulation was on March 23rd or 24th. (I had a positive ovulation test on March 23rd). I'm crossing my fingers that I don't get my period tomorrow.
