Heavy moments with Gonal-f

Skay
Hi everyone,

After a year without a period, we were referred to a fertility clinic. They diagnosed PCOS and I started OI (ovulation induction) with Clomid. After 5 rounds of Clomid with no result and feeling completely depressed, I switched to injecting Gonal-f. Now the first round is behind me and unfortunately 2 negative tests (so now waiting for my period). I'm really dreading starting the injections again.

I'd love to hear your experiences for 'mental support' haha. Do you also sometimes feel like you just can't take it anymore?

Best, Skay

    Hi Skay,
That’s so sad. Are you doing IUI or are you allowed to try naturally?
I’m using Gonal-F, but Puregon. It’s my first cycle with injections. I was really scared at first, but it’s going much better now.
I don’t notice much from the hormones. How about with Gonal-F? Are you dreading it because of the side effects or because of the injections themselves?

So I don’t inject Gonal-F but Puregon, just to be clear;-)

    Hi Linda2014

In principle, we can just get started ourselves. We do get regular ultrasounds to see how the egg is growing.

I'm mostly dreading the injections themselves. Gonal F luckily has few side effects, but it does make me really tired.
But I'm very afraid of needles and dread having to prick myself each evening again.
Unfortunately, we start round 2 on Friday.

Are there any more Gonal-f users in this group?
