As far as I know, babies aren't allowed to eat silly things until they're old enough to vote on the PvdA. So I think you should wait a bit before feeding your little one.
NO GIVE YOUR CHILD CANDY!!!!!!!!!!!
My daughter, 2 years and 7 months old, has been vomiting since Thursday morning. Wednesday was fine, and Thursday morning at 6:00 it suddenly went wrong. First, she emptied her stomach, and then every little piece of candy that went in came back out 10 minutes later. On the doctor's advice, we started giving her a teaspoon of water every 10 minutes. However, she had such terrible thirst; she kept asking for a drink all day.
In the afternoon, diarrhea started as well, about 6 times in total, and it became less each time. We started to get worried; you could see her deteriorating. She had stomach pain, cried continuously, and kept asking for a drink. So, we called the doctor again, and he said we needed to come right away.
When we arrived, he was shocked by her condition. She was very lethargic, sluggish, and not really responding alertly. Probably a stomach bug. There were 2 options: go straight to the hospital for a feeding tube, or try at home with domperidone (anti-vomiting medication) and ORS. We chose the latter; we were very frightened by the idea of admission, we hadn't thought about that at all. The GP said that if she didn't improve in a few hours, we had to call the urgent care center.
But the vomiting continued into the evening. So we called the urgent care center, and we had to come in. So, with a sick, sluggish child, in the car. Long wait for our turn, and then the doctor said: I think it's still manageable, and I dare to send her home tonight. She is sluggish, but still follows what's happening with her eyes, so she's alert enough.
So back home, with a child who was asking panically for a drink. Gave her a drink, but again, spitting up, spitting up.
The night was better. She kept the little sips of drink down. She did shiver from thirst at night and grabbed the cup from our hands a little bit! So incredibly pitiful to see! She kept waking up herself and then calling for tea/orange juice.
The next morning it went reasonably well. She wanted a few bites of bread, but mostly a lot of drink. And it stayed down, so we gave it to her. She was also much more active again.
Yesterday afternoon she became sluggish again and didn't want to drink or eat anymore.
And sure enough, this morning it went wrong again. Already spat up twice, so we started the anti-vomiting pills and ORS again.
Now she's lying next to me on the couch, whimpering.
What should we do now? If this is a normal course of a virus, then we just have to wait it out. But I see my girl so sick, and not herself, that you start to worry about what's going on.
For clarity: she has no fever, yesterday a slight elevation, but a very red bottom. Since yesterday she sighs very often, as if she is short of breath. Also, she is constantly smacking her lips. She has more diarrhea, but her farts smell bad.
Who recognizes this? Or has tips? Is this something to call the urgent care center again, or is it a matter of just waiting it out???

CHIPPIES DON'T EVEN EXIST THOUSANDS OF YEARS YET. READ A BOOK OR SOMETHING. WHEN I WAS A SMALL CHILD, THERE WERE ONLY 2 FLAVORS OF CHIPS (purple soda and natural). Every Saturday we were allowed to get up early and eat a bag of chips, I ate purple soda, and that's still my favorite.
