Pregnant after curettage

Hi,

Are there any of you who’ve had a D&C and are now trying to get pregnant again?
Or for those who’ve had one, how quickly were you pregnant again?
I’m also wondering what your first period after the D&C was like?

Best,

I had a curettage in April and was pregnant again in September.

I had a D&C on Dec 16. My cycle was back on track after 6 weeks. Now I've just had my second period, and we'll see if it works out this time... When we decided in mid-February to try again, my fertile window had already passed...

    I had a D&C on June 17th.
Then my period was absent for 3 months! I went to the gynecologist in September, had an ultrasound and blood test, and they saw that my ovulation was coming. Then, 2.5 weeks later, still no period! Went back again, another ultrasound, and there was a small adhesion blocking the passage, which was cut open on the spot.
    December 18th, positive pregnancy test.
    Now 14 weeks pregnant.

Had a D&C in June. Got a normal period after 4 weeks. Got pregnant again in November, but it ended on its own. Got pregnant again in December, and had another D&C in January. After 4 weeks, only had a very light period for 2 days. I think I might have missed it or something. Still hoping things will work out someday...
Did you recently have a D&C?

So sad that you had to go through this too Yes, I’d definitely want to try again. But my first period was only like 2 days and just brown?! Was it like that for you too... exactly one month later. I’m already scared that something might be wrong again.

It really hit home, didn't it?!
I had it exactly like that, ssss, except for a bit of brown discharge (very light), right after 4 weeks. So weird. I think we didn't ovulate back then?

I really did have a normal period. Bright red and about 4 days, just like I always have.

End of April had a curettage, exactly 4 weeks later got my period again just like before the pregnancy, bright red and for a few days it was the same but that cycle probably didn't have ovulation due to the heavy and long bleeding. In December got pregnant again and end of January had a spontaneous miscarriage. This week got my period again 4 weeks after the miscarriage.

So I took a pregnancy test right after my first period, and it was negative.
    Now I'm 2 days late.
Could it already be that far along, or is it just my cycle being messed up after the curettage?

    Lise, any good news yet?

I had a D&C on December 19th, and got my first period after 7 weeks (Feb 6-15). I had a lot of discharge for 10 days then, but luckily no cramps or pain. Now I'm already on cycle day 42 and no sign of blood. 18 days ago I had a positive ovulation test, so ovulation did happen. The pregnancy test is negative, so I have no idea why I haven't started my period yet. I suspect my cycle is still messed up.
Sss, have you tested or gotten your period in the meantime?

    Hey
Sorry for the late reply, but I'm already pregnant again by now.
    How about you guys?
  12. kirstnn #13

Me too! Next Saturday I'll be 13 weeks so things are going well here.

super! exactly the same as me
  14. kirstnn #15

That’s also quite a coincidence, hahaha. Did you have a lot of trouble with the symptoms, or was it manageable?
  15. Ellis #16

Me too . Today 10 weeks!
  16. kirstnn #17

Nice! So due in January. Is everything else okay with you too?
  17. Ellis #18

    Yes, a winter baby
I'm doing fine, really. I don't have any issues except for fatigue. I'm really counting down the days until the 12-week ultrasound!

No.. just as tired as you. But it's starting to get a bit better now Did you do the nip test?
  19. Ellis #20

Not yet, but I do plan to. My husband especially wants a bit more certainty. From July 1st, it gets reimbursed in Belgium, so I'm waiting another two weeks. I think you can only do it from 11 weeks anyway, so it's still a bit too early.
