Just need a hug.

Hi dear brabbellas!

I really need a hug right now.

The past year (read: years) has been very tough. Too much has happened. I'm going through it at the moment. Got bad news again yesterday.

I'd love to talk, cry, swear, and scream with other moms who are going through the same thing. Relatable stuff.

My days are long, dark, and lonely. On top of that, I'm happy and can intensely enjoy my kids.

Then I'll give you a hug. I don't know what you've been through, but I'm glad to hear there are still things you can enjoy. Hold on to those little bright spots.

Here’s a virtual hug too. You sound pretty down. Don’t let your head hang!

    Thanks, lovely ladies!

It's true that I've been feeling a bit down. I'm feeling a little better today though.

The little bright spots keep me going. My lovely, cheerful girls are truly amazing!

After more bad news, it takes longer for me to pick myself up again; my "bump" can't take much more.

Glad to hear things are a bit better today. Try to open up to someone you trust as much as possible. And if that's not an option, ask for a conversation with a social worker or your GP. The more you can take off your shoulders, the more you can handle. See what kind of help/support suits you right now and ask for that. If family/friends are enough, great; if not, keep looking. Remember, you don't have to face this alone.

I’m familiar with the support services. I know I need to talk to them again, but I just don’t see how right now. I don’t have childcare. Sounds really silly. Still, that’s a dealbreaker for me. I also feel like life is super busy at the moment. I mainly need some peace and quiet. My husband was home extra this past weekend. I loved it.

I call a friend when things get too much for me. I haven’t seen her since I moved. The distance is quite big. At the moment, that helps though.

I know I’m not alone in this. My husband, sisters, and sister-in-law are all really involved. They regularly help out with the kids when needed on weekends. (The two oldest) (I have 4 kids).
    Thanks for your sweet message!
