Pregnant or not - the eternal doubt

How do I start? My period is due tomorrow, and I'm driving myself crazy wondering if I'm pregnant or not. I've had sore breasts, stabbing pains in my belly (like menstrual cramps and needles), and occasional nausea. Now I'm really doubting myself because I think I might just be imagining all of this. Are there any other women here with the same symptoms and situation?

Best,

I had exactly the same thing every month. I really thought each time that I was pregnant, but then my period always came.. and then on the first day of Christmas. I had my egg and the next day I suddenly got so sick and started vomiting! The next day I felt better again and had no symptoms anywhere. Still overdue, but that happened more often. Only sore breasts, but I always had that before my period too. 10 days overdue and took a test. Positive. I didn't expect it, really thought it wasn't right haha.
But I had few symptoms beforehand, less than before my period, so your body can really play tricks on you..

Hey there! Same story here... only starting from day 1 of my period (now 3 weeks later): nausea, stomach pain, bloated feeling, vomiting in the morning, lower back pain, terrible fatigue, and a dry mouth. I ovulated yesterday. I called the doctor about this: I had to do a test: negative. Then another brand of pregnancy vitamins was recommended to me. I'm starting those tomorrow but I already feel a bit better... the symptoms are decreasing. If that doesn't help, I'll have to do a blood test to see if something else is causing this. Another reason could be that your hormone balance is still off while your body is already back on track (if you've stopped using contraception). I think that last reason is why I'm having so much trouble... now that my ovulation is clearly over, everything is becoming less and calmer. Going to do something fun today and not focus on it... we'll see!! I'll cheer for you.

Hey, some better news after a few days. I'm pregnant, 5 weeks now. The anxiety is incredibly intense. I can't find peace in my mind at the moment. I hope things are going well this time... I don't have many symptoms besides some stomach pain and occasional twinges. Hopefully, this is a good sign. My first ultrasound is in 3 weeks, time is moving so slowly.

Nice to hear that you're pregnant, hopefully the anxious feeling will lessen after your ultrasound.

    Hey!
Here’s a bit of the same problem.. I’ve been browsing the forum for a long time but now I really need to get this off my chest..
My partner and I are now in round 2, so I don’t expect it to be successful right away but.. I’m already 5 days late and have had 3 negative tests in my hands... it’s so incredibly frustrating! Are there more who can relate to this?

Hey A95, maybe get your blood drawn at your doctor's office. I also only got a positive test after a week during my first pregnancy. Fingers crossed.

A95, that does sound incredibly frustrating. Five days overdue with negative tests is a lot. AVG is right, getting a blood test done by your GP will really give you answers. Maybe it's just too early for the test, or maybe something else is going on. Let's wait and hope it works out soon.
