Pregnant?

Hi there,

Today I'm 6 days late. My last period started on December 30, 2016, and I was due to get my period again on January 27, 2017.

On Thursday evening, I got period cramps, which is normal for me the day before my period starts! But it didn't come through; I had cramps/pain until Sunday. Since Sunday, I've had it in waves—sometimes yes, sometimes no. I also have stabbing pains on the right side of my lower abdomen. Normally, I never have pain for so long beforehand; usually, it's just one evening, and then it comes that night. I also have some heartburn, but not extreme, just occasionally.

Yesterday late in the afternoon, I took a test because I couldn't wait until the next morning... the test was negative! But I still haven't gotten my period.

I hope someone can give me advice on what I can do now, because I'm really feeling uncertain right now????

Thanks in advance!
Kimberly

I'd say (especially if you're keen to get pregnant) buy a handful of those early pregnancy tests and test a few times a week until you get your period. For me, the first test was negative, but a few days later it was positive. I was then over a week pregnant and I'm now 29 weeks pregnant. Good luck and keep me posted :l

Oh yeah, really test with first morning urine as soon as you get out of bed. This can really make the difference between a positive or negative result. Especially so early in pregnancy, since the right hormones aren't that prominent yet.

    Thanks for the reply!
I'm going to try it first thing tomorrow morning with first morning urine, and if that's negative, I'll buy a few more in case I still don't get my period. I use the Kruidvat 2 for 5 euros, are these good or do you recommend others? I also have one from Clearblue lying around, but I read that for those tests your hormone levels need to be very high.
I forgot to mention that I also have (sorry) so much discharge.. also since Friday.

I personally find those early Clearblue tests really helpful. What kind of discharge do you have? Brown or clear/white? I didn’t have much of that myself, so I don’t know if it’s an early pregnancy symptom. I did have some watery discharge, but that was later on.

I used the ones from Kruidvat for a while, but I found the Action ones clearer. They also didn’t give me those evaporation lines like the Kruidvat ones did Clear Blue is great, of course, but pricey!

My discharge was very watery at first, now it's a bit white and quite thick but still a lot.
Just took a test again, still negative, it's been a week overdue now..

A week overdue is really long, you know. I’d keep trying.

That's true, but there isn't even a faint line visible..
    This is nerve-wracking, right? Haha
I'll keep trying and if it doesn't work out, I'll wait and see if it really doesn't take hold.

Since today, I’ve also had stomach pain and cramps, and quite a few sharp stabs..

My girlfriend says she can see a very very very faint line when zooming in, I really see nothing.. what do you guys think?

I don't know, I've always had digital tests????
