Just gave birth and already feeling those jitters again

Hi ladies,

About 8 weeks ago I gave birth to my son. Sounds maybe quite silly, but I'm thinking about trying to get pregnant again.
I miss it, being pregnant, the belly.. We want two kids and I'm already feeling that itch again.. is this weird?
I know it's very close together, but what would you advise?
I'd rather not use contraception now since we're going to try again soon anyway.
Tips and advice are welcome?
Love!

Doesn't seem healthy for your body to have them so close together.

Well, I'd definitely wait until your little one is 6 months old. Your body needs time to recover too. I don't know if you're breastfeeding or bottle-feeding, but I think being pregnant does affect your milk supply. Plus, often (though not always) your period won't come back as long as you're breastfeeding, so getting pregnant usually doesn't happen quickly while you're nursing. They say "9 months on, 9 months off" for a reason. You're not a brood machine; it takes a toll on your body. If you want your kids relatively close together, it's best to use condoms in the meantime until the time comes when you really want to try. You'll have to decide for yourself, but I'd wait a few more months and enjoy your little one you have now.

By the way, it's not strange to miss the feeling of being pregnant. For 9 months, you felt your baby in your belly, and then suddenly, he's out. It's not surprising that your belly feels empty; it's also a lovely, intimate feeling to have life in your belly. You're not the only one who misses that feeling.
