Hi hi!

I'm Stefanie, 28 years old and new to this forum.
I stopped using contraception in June and today I'm a few days late.
I took a Kruidvat test but the line isn't very clear and I've got quite a bit of cramping in my belly.
Does anyone have experience with the Kruidvat test?
Xx

The tests I did from Kruidvat were also less clear than, for example, Clear Blue

I have a picture of it, but I can't add the photo because it says something about 'spam' or something..

    * Oh, I've added the photo as my profile picture now, maybe you can see it there?

You're so pregnant, you can do CB as proof.

Okay, thanks! Yeah, I'll grab those too

Indeed! It doesn't matter how dark it is, but this is clearly a positive test

Took a second test today and got another (clear) line. It must be true then! What a weird feeling, never thought I'd feel this way!

Congratulations! Haha, unreal, right? You don't feel anything yet, and then to think that something is growing inside you

Congratulations on your pregnancy and enjoy it!

Haha thanks! Yeah, a bit crazy! Is there a big chance that something goes wrong and can I do anything about it myself?
  10. liesx #11

Yes, up to 12 weeks there's always a high risk, and unfortunately, you have no control over it.

    Okay, thanks!

Anyway, don't stress too much, stress is never good! Are you still happy? And no complaints anymore?
  13. Stefanie1 started this #14

Absolutely happy! I just started a course, so I'm planning things out well and figuring out how we'll handle it later in the year.
I still need to call the doctor about how to proceed, and I'm feeling tired, though that could have other causes too. I'm also experiencing some cramps, like I'm about to get my period.

Oh! Hopefully, you can sort it out with your studies. Maybe you can catch up after your pregnancy, starting from the point where it wasn't working anymore.
How far along do you think you are? I called my GP quite quickly too; she can tell you right away what your next steps are!

Unfortunately, that fatigue will stick around for a while at the beginning, but it'll all be fine!!

Due to my studies, I'll be at school for the next 2 weeks, so I don't have the time or opportunity to call the doctor.
I had my last period at the end of December, so I assume I'm about 3 weeks pregnant or something.
I've also asked my boyfriend if he can call the doctor when he has some time.
And about that study program, yeah, it's about 12 weeks, but I'll just have to sit down with my supervisor at school.

Thanks for all your responses, xLies!

You usually don't make an appointment with the midwife until around 8 weeks, so that's fine, right!

    Good luck
  17. Stefanie1 started this #18

Oh okay, I didn't know that, but then it'll be fine, so I don't need to worry about it.
I'm taking folic acid and multivitamins. Otherwise, there's really nothing else I need, right?
  18. liesx #19

No worries, it's great that you're taking that multivitamin too! If you do that and stick to what you're not supposed to eat or drink, then everything should be fine!

    Okay, nice to hear!
I'm taking it easy and we'll see how it goes!
