Good morning,

I'm new here and have a question.
I went to the gynecologist yesterday and she confirmed my pregnancy, she estimates 5 weeks. They saw a gestational sac but no contents yet, I have to come back in 2 weeks.
I'm quite scared that something isn't right, does anyone have experience with this?

    At 5 weeks, you can't see much anyway. Why did you have an ultrasound so early? They usually do it later to avoid this kind of uncertainty.

    Because I have diabetes and haven't had a period for 4 years, so we didn't know how far along I was.. Due to extra insulin administration, we need to determine how far along I am.

    Okay,
    then at 7 weeks you'll already be able to see a tiny little baby with a heartbeat. Just a little more patience... which, by the way, isn't easy Hahaha

    Those 2 weeks will definitely feel long now, but yeah, there's no other way.
    But I started really doubting once I was home

    With my previous pregnancy, we also only saw a gestational sac after about 5 weeks, but now we have a little boy of 10 months old . Probably it was just too early, and you'll see a beating heart on the screen soon
