I'm looking for a name for my son who will be born in October. I have Polish roots myself and would like to choose a name that sounds good in both Polish and Dutch. My partner has an old Flemish surname, so it should fit well with that too.

Hi anonymous, I think Olaf and Tymoteusz are nice names. Choosing isn't easy, right? My name is from Kosovo, so I have this problem too. Everyone has to be able to pronounce it, right? Because they can make fun of it, haha. Greetings, Tammi

I don’t think Nikodem is beautiful, but the others are With Janusz and Tymoteusz you do have to be careful that Flemish people will quickly write them wrong (without a z), so maybe you could consider adjusting the spelling? Or otherwise just point out to people that it’s spelled with a z
    My favorite name is Teodor!

I'll go with Olaf. I think you'll pull it off well as a boy's name.

Just received a lovely message from my hairdresser. Her husband has Polish parents and he preferred the name Dominik since it's also used in Poland and works really well in the Netherlands, even with a Flemish surname. Meaning and origin of Dominik

Dominik is a Russian boy's name.

The meaning of the name is `belonging to God`.
