I love different kinds of names: tough vs girly. The only thing I don't like is top 20 names. Any matching second name options are welcome.

    Although it probably won't be a crowd-pleaser, I voted for Abeltje. Super cute but also kind of tough, I think. I also really like Marie and Doris. Marij could work too. By the way, I think Abeltje Marie is a good first-second name combination.

    I voted for Mara! Such a lovely name. I think it's both tough AND girly. Jolie and Abeltje aren't really my thing. The other names are okay though! :-) But Mara is definitely number one! ;-)

    I’m voting for Mara too. I find that name strong, solid, but also feminine. Not too common, but still normal.
    Abeltje - in this case, I think the -tje really makes it sound small (with Noortje, for example, I don’t feel that as much)
    Marie - old-fashioned
    Julie - pronounced in French? A bit too hockey-ish.
    Sylvie - I immediately associate it with Sylvie Meis
    Elise - ordinary
    Jolie - pronounced in French? Nice name, but a bit too much in some way.
    Doris - a bit heavy

    Supplement to my previous post:
    2nd name: maybe name after someone or another name you find beautiful?
    I think Mara Jolie is the most beautiful then.

    I voted for Mara! Very fresh and you don't hear it that often

    I think Mara is really beautiful! It comes across as smooth and feminine....
