Hi! I’ve been on the pill for years and never miss a pill. Last month I got my period around Dec 7th. Because I was super busy at work, I decided to skip the pill break and keep taking it. Since Friday I’ve been having a lot of stomach trouble—gurgling intestines and weird noises. I didn’t trust it, so I took a break (took the last pill Saturday night). After that I had nights where I couldn’t sleep. I was worried I might be pregnant. Yesterday (Monday) I took a pregnancy test and it said I wasn’t. I get nauseous sometimes, and my stomach is still gurgling. Also, I’ve barely eaten for a few days. Is yesterday’s (Monday) test reliable, or could I still be pregnant?

Your post is from a couple of weeks ago, so I’m not sure if you still need the info.
Normally, you’re perfectly protected when you keep taking your pill continuously. I’ve done this a lot myself because I usually got bad migraines during the pill-free week and didn’t want that every time. The only thing to watch out for is making sure you start the next pack on time. Leaving 8 days instead of 7 between packs can already lead to ovulation.
You took a pregnancy test that should have shown a positive result by then, so I’d assume it was reliable and that you’re not pregnant. Feeling nauseous and having digestive issues doesn’t necessarily mean you’re pregnant. Just be careful with the pill when you’re sick. It might not work properly if you have a fever or diarrhea, or if you vomit shortly after taking it.
