constant pain.

Hi everyone,

It might be a weird question and unlikely, but well, nothing's weird anymore these days.

We had an IUI in June and then I just got my period afterwards—less than usual, but still, it lasted 5 days. Then in July, I got my period again, but it only lasted 2 days, and the other 3 days it was light white/pink.

Now I'm halfway through my cycle and shouldn't get my period for another 2 weeks, but I'm having a lot of discomfort from a kind of muscle-ache-like pain in my lower abdomen that radiates into my lower back. I also need to go to the bathroom more often, as if there's pressure building on my bladder, and my bowels are really upset.

My breasts have been very sensitive for a long time, but I thought it was just normal. Now I heard and read that the pain could be because your uterus is growing.

Does anyone know what I should do about this?

No, I don't really know what to do with that. You're not pregnant, but you do seem to be experiencing pregnancy-like symptoms. Maybe because of all the hormones?
Have you stopped the IUI in the meantime?

I don't know if I'm not pregnant since you hear so much about bleeding during or at the start of pregnancy...
I'll get a test ASAP or just pop by the doctor.
I had my period again last time, so we did another IUI on the 9th and 11th, so that can't be the issue.
If I am pregnant now, these pains could already be round ligament pains since I do heavy work and it makes it worse.
So I'll just wait and see...

Hey Noenja, I also had 3x IUI, and your pain symptoms sound very familiar to me. In my case, it was 3x no result, but I did have those pains you describe. My gynecologist told me it could be because the tube/hose hit your uterus, which can cause unpleasant pain... Meanwhile, it's been 2 years after the IUI treatment (which we stopped due to the stress it put on our relationship), and we've become pregnant naturally. I hope it works out for you and you get pregnant soon! Good luck and keep us updated! Love

For me, it sounds like ovulation. I always have these symptoms during my ovulation. Let me know how it's going for you now.

    Xxx
