According to everything, not pregnant but really feeling it in my body.

Hey everyone,

I've been having a lot of trouble with a gassy stomach for a while now, with sharp pains in my lower abdomen, especially on the right side that radiate down to my groin, and I've also been having a lot of pain in my lower back. I've also had really bad breast pain—I've never had pain like that in my entire life. That was weird too. I only had that for a few days though.

So, I missed the pill once in the first week, so there was a chance of pregnancy.

I took two tests because my body was just acting so weird, and still is. Everything changed, and it could of course all be in my head, but I wasn't really trying to get pregnant, so it couldn't really be that. But the tests were consistently negative. I also got my period, but it was different this time.

I went to the doctor this morning anyway. I just really wanted to know what was going on, because if it's the same thing, something isn't right, and that could reduce the chance of a pregnancy in the future. Because of course I do want a child.

I had to bring in a morning urine sample. It showed that I didn't have a bladder infection or any possible infection. He felt my stomach. And where the ovaries are located, it hurt when he pressed there. Because I had already taken two negative tests, he didn't think it was necessary to test for pregnancy. In the end, I didn't get any clear answer. I'm supposed to get my period next week.

I was told to wait and see, and if the symptoms persisted, I should come back. I hope nothing serious is wrong. Don't get me wrong, if there was a baby in there, it would be welcome...

Love, Sissiee

Hmm, if you're not due for your period until next week, can't you really test reliably yet, or can you?

No, that's right, but this would be the 2nd period.

    @Sissieee,
That's so weird. If I were you, I'd want to be referred to the gynecology department. Because it's strange that your symptoms are lasting so long???
I'd make another appointment with your doctor and explain it very clearly, and if necessary get a second opinion. I wouldn't just put up with it, since an infection could have negative consequences for a potential pregnancy... if that's the case.

Because if you do have an infection, it could be dangerous for the baby. So if I were you, I'd make an appointment ASAP.

ps let me know what's going on.

Yeah, I also thought it was weird that I'm still having these symptoms. I just don't really know what to do anymore. But I'm not letting this slide. I had a locum, my regular doctor wasn't there. So now I'm waiting a bit after my period, since I think it's coming anyway, and then I'll go back. This can't be good. But thanks again for your reply! I'll definitely keep you posted, I'll check how it's going in a week or so... I'm really curious, living in this uncertainty like this.

@Sissieee, maybe you really want to be pregnant and you're just experiencing the symptoms, or maybe you were pregnant and had a miscarriage. Anything is possible. But I think it's really harsh to send you away like that. Where is the empathy doctors are supposed to have?

Let us know how you're doing.

Strength and don't let them push you away.

I don't want to scare you, but this sounds almost like an ectopic pregnancy!
Symptoms, no positive test, and pain in your ovary?
I also don't get why they didn't play it safe.
You gave urine, so it wasn't much trouble to also check for pregnancy.
Why make it difficult when it can be easy!!

Let me know how it goes!!

@Sissieee, yeah, what Olivia-Anna says could also be true... I hadn't thought of that. Well, I'll find out soon enough...

Yeah, I also read online that you can get an infection in your ovaries and that it can make you infertile. All sorts of things are running through my head. Not good, obviously. I'll just go back next week, because I'm only getting more unsure like this.

I got my period last night, but all that came out was old blood.
It was also really late because I usually get it in the morning or by afternoon, never in the evening.
This morning I really had some stomach pain, and then it got quite heavy for a bit. But again, it was all old blood. I called the doctor this afternoon and explained what was going on. She said: "Then you should just switch to a different pill." I told her I've been on the pill for years and have never experienced this before, and my body feels weird. She replied: "Well, every woman has some discomfort now and then." I also told her I've never had breast pain in all the years I've been on the pill. She said: "But that can happen occasionally."
I pushed back, and eventually she said I should come in. So what I'm going to do is get a second opinion. I'm going to see a completely different doctor. I just don't feel like I'm being taken seriously. Really frustrating.

    @Sissieee,
Good on you for not letting them brush you off. Take care of that. If necessary, go to a doctor who can actually talk to you in a decent way. "What a wise person you are." Some doctors shouldn't be allowed to use the title drs., in my opinion. How are you feeling otherwise, girl? I hope you get some clarity soon about what was going on.

Well seriously, you don't get any better like this. Well, they have a piece of paper and yeah that says enough, but in practice they can't do anything. Yeah, I've been having a lot of lower abdominal pain. But I'm already almost not having my period anymore, at least there's still some dried-up blood, and something normal but otherwise nothing. This isn't the period I know. I've never experienced this before. Very weird. Yeah, I hope something becomes clear soon. I'm getting so tired of this.

That's so annoying!! It's quite possible that there's nothing wrong, but they still need to give you the chance to tell your story properly.
(I used to have periods two weeks in a row and was quite confused too..
I regret now that I didn't pay much attention to it..)

You just need a doctor who puts their book aside and wants to listen to YOU..

Yeah, it would really be nice if they referred me.
I'm so incredibly scared. My mind is full of all sorts of thoughts. Since Wednesday, I've only had brown bleeding with a little bit of red blood now and then. But not a lot. Just recently, I had a small mucus-like blood clot, but it was very dark too. Maybe it's a bit gross, but I did take a good look at what it was. I also get pain in my stomach and sides every time. I don't feel well at all. I'm really feeling anxious. The same thing could happen again where there's a little one inside, but I end up having a miscarriage, or something else entirely happens that makes it impossible to ever have a baby. But now, with everything I'm feeling, I'm really worried. I should stop reading online because it doesn't help either. I just don't know anymore. I want to make an appointment with another doctor starting next week, and they can refer me if needed. I'm going to make sure of that. I'm completely done with being passed around like a ball.

    HeyHoi

Well, I went to the doctor again today. She kept telling me to just switch to a different pill, but I didn't believe any of that. In the end, I got to have an ultrasound. So now I'm waiting for the hospital and just have to wait and see!
