I'm also going with Suus, but I think Suzie or Suzanne are nice variations of it.

Suus, I think it's really brave!
  3. Stephanie #4

    I'm going with Suus.

    I find both quite nice,
but Suus is really a girl's name

I'm going with Guusje too. Tough name. Suus feels a bit too sweet to me....

With Guusje, I immediately think of Guus Geluk from Donald Duck, so I'd go for Suus. Maybe Suze or Suza could be nice too?

I think Suus sounds much nicer and prettier than Guusje because Guusje feels like a boy's name to me. Guus, but when you make it smaller, you get Guusje, so people think it's for a girl, but that girl grows up and becomes an adult. I wonder if Guusje...

then it still sounds nice and not childish, and if they shorten it to Guus later on, it sounds like a boy's name. That name always reminds me of "Guus, come to the house, because the cows are mooing, the pigs need to eat, and the hay needs to be taken off the land." I don't know if you know that song, but no, Guusje is completely out of the question. I'd definitely go for Suus; it sounds feminine at least.

I'd go for Guusje. I find it quite feminine and sweet, yet with a bit of a stubborn streak. .suus is a name you hear too often. Good luck with your choice!

I happen to agree with Felicia—I think Guusje is a boy's name too. In my circle, you hear Guus often, but Suus doesn't really come up. Suus does sound more feminine, though. I find Suus has a nice, sweet side but also a bit of a tough edge. Guusje, shortened later to Guus... just imagine how that would sound!

Sounds so masculine, Guus! Say it a few times out loud, then say Suus—it sounds much more feminine. But it's your decision, of course. I'm just sharing my opinion. I'd go with Suus too.
