Hi there,

We've been trying to conceive our first baby for almost 3 years now. I'm 6 days late and tested negative the day before yesterday. I don't really feel pregnant, but I've never been this late before; normally it's max 3 days. What would you guys do now, and when should I test again if my period doesn't come?

Lots of love,

Try testing again in a week; maybe your ovulation was later, or go to your GP for a blood test. If you've been trying for 3 years and it's not working, it might be a good idea to talk to your GP for advice anyway.

I always used to say if it happens, it happens, otherwise not, but we're not getting any younger either, and it's starting to tickle more and more. Today I also got the unpleasant news that my sister can't have a second child due to problems with her ovaries, which could also be hereditary, so I'm really thinking hard about going to the HA, yeah.

Sometimes it does help to ask for advice. They can always check if there's something wrong with one of you or if it's just a matter of timing, for example. And sometimes it can suddenly work with a little help or adjustments.
