Week overdue, test negative

Hi ladies, I really have a lot of questions on my mind. My partner and I have been trying for a baby for 3 months now. I'm now a week late. I stopped the pill a year ago. Until now, I've always gotten my period on time (25-28 days). So I'm happy.. last Friday, 3 days after ovulation, I tested with a sensitive extra-sensitive test with a heart symbol but it was negative. Today, 6 days after ovulation, I tested with a different brand 2v5 and it was also negative. Besides that, I don't have much nausea, just occasional waves. My breasts don't hurt; normally when I'm about to get my period, I really have pain. I'm not dizzy at all. I only have a one-sided cramp-like feeling in my lower right abdomen, but it's not painful. My eating habits have changed though; I can't eat as much anymore. It seems like I have no appetite. I'm starting to worry; I'm afraid I might have a pregnancy because the hcg level could be too low, which would cause a negative test result. Are there any ladies who also had a negative result but everything turned out fine? Please help, ladies.
