Make it yourself

Who makes all the baby stuff for the nursery during their pregnancy, like curtains, clothes, decorations, etc.? I'm curious what you all make yourself! I've made a mobile for the crib, washing cloth covers, and a lamp.

    Hi Iza,

I've already crocheted a bassinet mat; I just need to sew another fabric to the back, and then it's done.
An old shop cabinet that we used as a bookshelf in our previous house has now been transformed into a changing table. I'm planning to crochet something like a mobile or so. I also have quite a few fabric scraps lying around. With those, I'll probably make another bassinet mat and sheets and blankets for the crib. But first, I need the dimensions of the crib and mattress.
I can probably get one from a friend, but otherwise, we already have one in mind. Unfortunately, the sizes differ.
    We still had curtains.
But well, a lot of things are made here too. It's all made from scraps of materials that are already at home. We don't buy anything extra for DIY.

To be honest, I don’t make anything myself. I just put together the sugar and the boxes (which I also bought, along with the ribbons, etc.).
I’m way too fond of new stuff and shopping

The only thing I'll have to do myself later is put together the birth cards. I still have everything from the first one, and I bought or received it all.

I crochet the socks and hats myself.
I've transformed a cabinet to be fantastically beautiful!! White with soft purple (the color of the room walls) edges, where I've removed the top layer again, so it has a bit of an antique look.

    Cards..

    Belly painting and plaster belly..

And a full wall painting: Fairy Tale Forest by Tinkerbell!! A LOT of work still to do!!
