Hi hi everyone.
I have to have an amniocentesis in a few weeks and have never had it before.
Are there any women here who have had this and what are your experiences?
I'm trying to take it in stride but find it all very nerve-wracking.

Had it last year during my pregnancy. It wasn't as bad as I expected; poking through the uterine wall wasn't pleasant, but I don't find finger pricks pleasant either. It really depends on your pain threshold. But just let it happen, and if you're not a fan of needles, look away. -

I have to give myself an injection in my belly every day for blood thinning, so I’ve gotten used to it by now.
It’s just tiny needles though.
I’ll just let it happen.
