Acupuncture experiences

Hi everyone!
I'm 35 and have been trying for a second baby for over a year now (my first child is from a previous relationship). The first round was successful but unfortunately ended in a miscarriage. So far, nothing yet (14th month). I'm seeing a fertility doctor for some standard tests because I'd really like to know if there's any medical issue, and I've also recently started acupuncture.
I went for my third session yesterday and am now a little over a week past ovulation. I should probably get my period in about 8 days. I'm really curious to hear your experiences and stories about this. I find the acupuncture really intense (I'm very sensitive) and sometimes the needles have to be removed after just a few minutes because it's too much. Does anyone else experience this?
