I came across the name Samee.. What do you all think of it, is it a boy's or girl's name and how would you pronounce it?

    Never heard of it before, but it sounds really nice!!!! I'd pronounce it exactly as it's written, so Samee with a short a and long e haha, and it immediately made me think of a girl! It could maybe work for both, but personally I think it's a girl's name.

    Thanks for the reply! I liked it right away too, and would pronounce it the same way.. It was listed as a boy's name somewhere (Arabic name?) But personally, I think it suits girls more..

    I just asked my partner and he says it's a boy's name haha! So it could work for both

    That's so nice! I also think it's more of a girl's name. Pronounce it as you write it.

    Samee! Wow! What a lovely and original name! It comes across as very calm and soft to me.
    I immediately think of a girl, but it could indeed also work for a boy (unisex). In that case, I’d still think of a calm person.
