Mijs or Juul

We're looking for a short, tough-sounding girl's name and are debating Mijs. What do you think? Doesn't it sound too much like "meisje" (girl)?

    I've always thought Mijs is such a cool name! Tough, sweet, spicy but also soft. You'll probably get some reactions. But it's just an old-fashioned Dutch name. And I think it's much nicer than everything with Jay and so on. I love a bit of unique Dutch names and I think Mijs is super!

    Yeah, it is indeed the abbreviation for girl, but I think it's a nice name. I think it's nicer than Juul, for me.

    none of them are my taste
    but if I have to choose, definitely Juul. Mijs is terrible, sorry. I guess I think too much about it being an abbreviation for a girl's name, I just can't see it as a name.

    I'd go for Mijs, I think Mijs is such a lovely name! It comes across as cool and nice and easy.

    Juul! With Mijs, I wouldn’t have the impression that you’re saying her name. More like the abbreviation for “girl.”
