2 negative tests

Hi, I'm currently 5 days late and my tests keep coming up negative. I've done 3. The GP said I really need a positive test to come in. Eventually, they said maybe the HA can put my mind at ease. Has anyone else experienced negative tests and turned out to be pregnant anyway? The first week after conception I really had cramps and was incredibly hungry, and now I'm still eating a lot... which I never normally do. I do have symptoms, but no plus sign.

    Hi Neeltje,

I have almost exactly the same experience. I'm now 4 days late, and with my first pregnancy, I got a positive test on day 11 past ovulation, and then had absolutely no symptoms... Is this going to be your first pregnancy? And did you use ovulation tests? Because when was your ovulation?

My positive ovulation test was on Friday, October 28th, and on Friday or Saturday I also had a lot of cervical mucus, so I really think I ovulated on the 29th, so now it's been 18 days.

Now I've had a lot of stomach discomfort in the evenings for a few days, and I'm feeling a bit nauseous in the mornings, and now really very tired... I'm also really feeling the effects of my hormones because I've been unable to enjoy myself for a few days and can't stand being around my partner... but this morning I still didn't get a positive test...

I read somewhere that by 17 days past ovulation, the egg should really have implanted... or am I mistaken? Can it take longer?

Exciting, right? When are you going to test again?

Yes, I was 3 days late (which I normally never am), so I had a blood test done. Turns out I’m not pregnant, but they did see that my egg had recently ruptured. I had an hCG level of 3.5, and if it’s above 5, it’s considered a very early pregnancy, so that wasn’t the case for me. But what do you think? I tested with a blood test for 5 days, and what do you think? A big positive!! So it could be.. You just have to call the doctor and say you’ve been late for more than a week and a half, and that you want a blood test. Otherwise, they won’t even see you, and then you’re left in unnecessary uncertainty.

I'm currently 5 days overdue. Yesterday I did a Kruidvat 2-for-5 test. After 5 minutes nothing showed up, but after 6 minutes a faint line appeared. Called the GP and they said to test again on Sunday, otherwise come by on Monday! So exciting!

Tested this morning and still nothing... but I do feel a bit better, less stomach discomfort, so maybe I'm just getting sick.. well, let my period come then, but I'd rather have a positive test My tests are due, so I'll wait until Monday, and if not, I'll call the doctor..

So Clara had a positive test after 8 days overdue.. that's super! Congratulations!
Yesz89, within 10 minutes there should be a line, right? A line is a line, so it'll definitely work out, that's really nice! Congratulations too!
