3 weeks to go, still no name...

Hi everyone,
In 3 weeks we're expecting our little girl, but my partner and I can't agree on a name. I love more edgy names like Lize, Sammie, Bente, while my partner prefers more classic names like Rosa, Julie, or Olivia. I feel like we've gone through basically ALL names by now, but we just can't find one that we both like. I'm getting a bit restless about it! Any good tips?!
Cheers!

Tricky, you know. Maybe you both cross off the name(s) you really don't like from the other's list?

Or maybe, for example, official name Rosa, nickname Rosie?
    Or a hyphenated name, e.g., Sammie-Rosa?

I also think Danée or Danae is a beautiful name. I'll add it to the list. We tried crossing each other's names off, and then we ended up with Nina. But we weren't very enthusiastic about that either, so it was eventually crossed off.
And Amy, do you think that's a nice name?

What do you think of Fay pronounced like "fee"?
Or Nikkie? Tough yet sweet at the same time.
I myself am more into classic names
My husband prefers short, modern names.
    Is Yara maybe an option?
Our oldest princess is named that
I thought Rosa was beautiful for our third daughter, but my husband had a very different opinion haha
In the end, it turned out to be Jasmijn, which I also found quite nice.
    Amy is my niece's name.
I think it sounds okay, but not for my own child.
I always think of the old Lotto commercial where an old man shouted, "Amy, are you upstairs?"
That's why I don't like the name so much.
And it suits older women a bit more.

What do you think of Daniqeu? Pronounced as Danieke

I also think Nikki is really nice, great tip!
And Yara is beautiful too, but my best friend is already named that.
Danique or Fay aren't really my style.

Among my acquaintances, a couple also had different tastes when it came to names.

They chose Rozan for their little girl. I think it's both tough and sweet at the same time.

I think Amy is nice, but not as beautiful as Lize, Sammie, Rosa, or Olivia.
I also think Rozan (or Rosan) is very pretty.
    Or
    Luna
    Mia
    Maya
    Bobbie

I like Amy. A few more ideas: Tirza, Stella, Aster, Luna, Zoë, Loïs, Suze/Suzie/Suzy, Lucy/Lucie, Cato, Lizzy, Ronja, Noa, Britta, Anouk, Mirre, Kaya, Marly, Elin, Lilly

    Our daughter is named Emy.
Not once have we regretted it

Nice, Rozan or Rosan, I haven't come across those before. Indeed, brave and sweet. Luna, Maya, Aster, and Tirza, I also find beautiful.

What do you think of Livia? It combines the tough vibe of Liv with the softness of Olivia
  13. Nano Guest #14

I also immediately thought of Livia, but I think you might not find it tough enough?
    Tough girl names:
    Rafke
    Bobbie
    Robin
    Alex (English pronunciation)
    Indy

    Sweet girl names:
    Liv
    Sophia

    Combinations:
    Liva
    Livia
    Senna
    Nena
    Benthe/Yenthe/Jinthe/Ninthe
    Jalou

Maybe you'll find something useful here.

I also think Maura and Mayra are really cool. Maybe grab a book. I got lost in the internet jungle. In the end, my mom threw "How should I name you" through the mailbox, and we found one name there that both of us liked.

Hi Katrien, did you already ask your man what he thought of Nikki?
