@Anoniem,
You're not alone in this. I've spent the last weeks just raging and losing my temper.. Hormones are raging through me like a maniac.. They know it at home so they're taking it into account with me.. On the flip side, I'm really trying to count to 20 instead of 10, and it's been going a bit better this past week..

But when something bothers me, they get it from all sides, left and right, front and back, so I totally get that feeling..
Sometimes I feel people take advantage of it and just say whenever it's appropriate or not how intense I am since I got pregnant.. Then they can totally get it from Lexum.. But yeah, don't say it, otherwise they'd have a point hihihi..

Sometimes my partner and I laugh heartily about how I reacted, since he can definitely relate.. So creating understanding really helps a lot..

Love Ju

    @ anoniem,
    you're definitely not alone.
my husband says he doesn't even recognize me anymore. I just fly off the handle over the dumbest things.
it's not fun for the family, but honestly, it's not fun for us either, because we don't want to be like that, but it just comes out before we even realize it.
the worst part is that I lovingly offer my apologies, and then I get a response like "you need to learn to control yourself." well, I know that too.
hey, counting to ten is a really good idea, I'll try it out.
    greetings

@Anonymous, yes, definitely. Don't mess with a hormonal woman, hahaha! Yeah, it's all so relatable.
My partner also says things that really hurt me; sometimes it seems like he's more pregnant than I am... His hormones are playing up too. And yeah, soon enough when we have our little prince or princess in our arms, we'll have forgotten all that hormonal stuff... Then we'll "un-pregnant" ourselves, and that's sometimes not so nice either, but live and let live... How many weeks are you, anonymous?
@Maya, it probably isn't completely stupid because we're not stupid; we're pregnant, and that's the reason... Counting helps me in some cases. I have another tip: keep your breathing low and then say what you need to say... It often comes across very differently then...
And trust me, it'll stick with you, hahaha...

    Yeah, those hormones.

    Hey Maya,

I totally relate to that! When you finally take the step to admit you went too far, you get reactions like that. For me, it's often a reason to start all over again...
It does make me feel better knowing I'm not the only one who goes overboard. I feel so guilty then, and just don't feel like doing anything. I pace the walls, can't figure myself out, get bored—basically, I act like a little kid sometimes.
There's nothing nice about being pregnant during those moments, especially when I actually do enjoy it. And then I feel so bad about it...

Hi everyone, things are really spiraling out of control here. My husband packed his bags two days ago just because I was tired and couldn't make dinner. I'm pregnant with our third son, I'm 24 and he's 29, but our mindsets are completely different. He doesn't say anything nice to me and just tries to hurt me. Every day he tells me that I have a bad heart and that God is punishing me by giving me only boys. I have no one to vent to; I have eight sisters, but they don't understand and keep telling me to be patient because he's the father of my children. Does anyone know how I can handle this? He hasn't actually left, but I have to unpack everything and put it all back in its place. I'm not the one who packed, but now I'm not allowed to sleep in my bed anymore. He locks the door until I say I'll sort his clothes back out. I'm sleeping with my kids in the room, but on the floor, and my back is killing me. Any tips on how to deal with this guy? Thanks a lot, everyone.

Aicha, seriously girl, pack your things and leave that man! You shouldn't let yourself be treated like this. The first while will really be tough, but it'll only get better from there. If you feel like you have nowhere to go, that's not the case. There are shelters, and often there's family or friends who want to help. Sleeping on the floor, are you not a human? Even dogs have a bed. No, honestly, I can get very angry and sad reading this... nobody deserves this, especially not a pregnant woman!
Good luck and strength! Stand up for yourself, you'll come out of this stronger.
    Greetings

You sound like his slave who is only good for dancing to his tune and bearing his children. You really shouldn't put up with this, Aicha! (Pity he didn't leave himself, reading this.)

I agree with what ... (guest) says. I'm actually not doing so well either, to be honest.

Lots of courage, girl!!! This must be so hard for you!

    Big hug!

    Hi Aicha,

Oh my, girl, what a mess! I share the feeling of leaving with my predecessors, although I can imagine how incredibly hard this is for you.
I myself also have experience with being trapped in a marriage and am glad that my ex finally took the step to break up. Otherwise, I would probably still be sitting in it myself, even though I would have had support from my surroundings.

I advise you to talk to someone outside the family (GP, midwife). Who knows, they might be able to help you and your baby, because I don't see this situation improving, and you and your children are worth so much more than being treated like this!
The beginning will be difficult, but from experience I know that choosing yourself is the best thing for you.

Wishing you lots of strength and wisdom, and feel free to vent your heart out here!!!

    Kind regards, Dani

    So, about the HORMONES......

What terrible things they are, seriously!
I managed to hold it together last week until we left the supermarket, but then I ended up crying... and why? No idea. The feeling just hit me out of nowhere and I couldn't stop it.

A few days later, I was also grumbling loudly in the supermarket. It's such a useless place, they're open until 9 PM, and the potatoes and peppers are sold out!!! Seriously, come on, what a joke, and I actually said that out loud in the shop. A guy walking by had a good laugh, and at that moment, I didn't care about anything.
Later on, I thought, why did I get so worked up about it?

And then at home, crying again because I feel like such a rotten person and acting so ugly And then having a supportive, comforting friend who is so kind... grrr.... you can't be mad at that either.

I also barely managed to control myself from snatching the chocolate bar I suddenly needed during shopping from the cashier's hands after he'd scanned it. I wanted to bite into it right away, but luckily I could wait until I paid.

So that's how it goes here too, it's part of it, and hopefully, it'll all pass eventually!!!

@aicha, get the kids' stuff and get out of there. It's over now, I'm done with my house.. I don't know which municipality you live in, but seek help. This is no life.

    Love, Ju

I guess I’m lucky enough to be able to say that I don’t have much trouble with those hormones. Occasionally I do notice that I react a bit more sharply or have my response ready faster than before. (Or is this more about the protective instinct kicking in and standing up for your baby who’s growing inside you?)

To all the ladies whose hormones are seriously messing with them: hang in there! Sounds really tough, but there’s not much you can do about it. A supportive environment and partner are worth their weight in gold... And it feels good to just let it all out here

    hi everyone,
thanks for your replies, it made me think really hard about my life. i promised myself things won't stay like this anymore. i talked to my partner, and i'm looking for a place for me and my kids. thanks a lot!
  12. kimjoy #13

    Aicha: lots of strength!

And then, indeed, the hormones. I get angry about nothing, even though I find myself crying a lot over nothing at that time. I can go from extremely happy to uber sad within 5 minutes, but hey!

Hi, I still find it really hard because my family doesn't understand me. They'll let me down badly, but even if I don't have my family then, hopefully I'll find my peace...
