Hi,

We have a 15-month-old daughter named Linde, and I'm pregnant again with a girl, due in late January.

We think the name Eva is nice, but I'm a huge waver... what do you all think?

My parents' neighbor and my boss at work also call me Eva. Should I take that into account or not?

If you know any other beautiful names... they're always welcome.

    Congratulations and it's absolutely beautiful, Eva! I wouldn't have a problem with my parents' neighbor, maybe it's just your head at work or whether you have a positive association with it; she'll probably just find it nice. Vera could be a nice alternative? Ela is also more common nowadays and fits nicely with Linde.

    Eva: I think the name is okay, but it's not really my personal taste. Having the same name as the boss at work—that's something I wouldn't do.

    I think Vera is a nice alternative. Or Veerle, Ylva, Rosa, Jolijn?

    But if you find Eva beautiful, just go for it!

    I think Eva is such a beautiful name! I wouldn't let it bother you if you already know people with that name... If you had to take that into account, there'd be no names left... I'd only avoid it if it's someone very close to you... but even then... it's your choice!
