    Pronounced as pretty?

    It's not my taste, and if the baby isn't beautiful, it could be a tough name for the girl.

    I'm not really a fan of English names with a clear meaning. I think it's super inconvenient internationally. English speakers do look at you funny when you say: I am Pretty. Or: My name is Pretty. So I wouldn't choose a name with such a clear meaning myself.

    Honestly... I wouldn't want to carry that name myself.

    It's true for the sake of confusion, but also as anon said. Of course you think your own baby is beautiful - the most beautiful in the world even! But introducing yourself as Pretty might just invite some teasing...

    What I (= 1st anonymous guest) meant: the name seems too sensitive to bullying. That's why I wouldn't go for it.
    Rather go for a slightly more neutral name (perhaps with the same meaning?).
